Living legend Leontyne Price is turning 100 years old and Vashon Opera couldn't let that momentous occasion go by without a celebration! This short concert will be a tribute to the great soprano. Four phenomenal sopranos from the Pacific Northwest—Malinda Wagstaff, Ibidunni Ojikutu, Emma Petersen, and Ellaina Lewis—will sing Ms. Price's signature arias that catapulted her into the very top of the opera pantheon, including selections from Porgy and Bess, Aida, Tosca, and La Forza del Destino. We will also feature art songs written specifically for and dedicated to Ms. Price. They will be accompanied by pianist Jessica Hall. This concert is free to attend.
