The inaugural season
“I wish the opera was every night. It is, of all entertainments, the sweetest and most delightful.” - Fanny Burney, Evelina
Vashon Opera's inaugural season includes one of the most famous operas ever created and an opera created by one of the most famous American composers to ever live. In September, Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème. In May, Aaron Copland’s The Tender Land. And knowing that making art accessible to the next generation, families can see opera at its finest with Little Red Riding Hood, a children’s opera co-sponsored by the Vashon Island Park District.
