Founders Event - A Success!

The Founders Party held May 16, 2009 celebrated those individuals who stepped forward to Vashon Opera's initial call for support. Brian and Jaculin Dougher hosted this splendid event at their beautiful beach-front home. Wine and hors d'oeuvres were served and an up-close opera preview was presented by the principal artists of the upcoming season.

Wesley Rogers, Andrew Krikawa, and Jennifer Krikawa accompanied by Evan Stults gave the Founders a glimpse of the beautiful opera The Tender Land. Gary Cannon, conductor, presented thoughtful insights about the piece.

Founders were then treated to a sample of La Boheme sung by Karl Reyes and Elizabeth Ripley with Jennifer and Andrew Krikawa.

The Founders were thrilled to be a part of the drama up-close and Vashon Opera is thrilled to have such a wonderfully supportive group of individuals who stepped forward with a resounding "YES!" to opera on Vashon.
